Strathmore Curling Club

Congratulations to Strathmore's Braden Burton, who was on the rink that won the Men's Alberta Qualifier for the 2015 Canada Winter Games.  The team consisted of skip Owen Goerzen, third Caleb Boorse, second Kurtis Goller and lead Braden Burton, curling out of the Airdrie Curling Club.  The event is for competetors 17 years old and younger as of December 31, 2014. The team now moves on to compete in the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George B.C. from February 13-March 1, 2015.

 Congratulations to the M. Jones team out of the Strathmore and District Curling Club.   They played in the 2015 Alberta Junior Women's Championship in Grande Prairie from January 7-11 and finished with a very respectable 4-3 record.  For complete results and scores check on the Alberta Curls website at  www.albertacurling.ab.ca 


'Open Curling League'

The Strathmore Curling Club is making a change to the drop in curling league. The league will now run on Thursday nights, starting at 8:00 pm.  There will be a $5 charge per visit.
